Who won the Biden
Everyone crossed the finish line, so everyone got to be a winner.
The Republicans are crowing because Sarah spewed out the party line, sac louis vuitton, and talked real folksy. I can't believe anyone from Alaska bought that part, since we've heard her speak enough to know it was a puton. I especially liked the picture of this "average hockey mom's" house in Wasilla nice picture windows in that great room no 300,000 dollar house on a 100,000 dollar budget for our girl.
And on the Democrat side, everybody was proud of Biden because he managed to get through without stuffing his foot in his mouth. A valid concern the poor bugger's only had what, 35 years to practice?
Dumb and Dumber, which has become business as usual.
Whoopty spit they chatted each other up for 2 hours while the Congress loaded their socalled "rescue plan" with earmarks while we watched the spectacle.
Hold on folks, no matter who steals this election, it's going to be a bumpy ride!!
Your departure from network policy immediately following last night's debate did not go unnoticed.
You are reminded that it is this network's position that Obama will be elected by a landslide and it is your job to ensure that happens.
You have one opportunity, today, to correct any "misimpression" that might have been generated by your intemperate words of last night. It is strongly recommended you get with the program and do so immediately.
You are reminded that, should Obama lose this election, you will be held personally responsible and will find yourself seeking new employment, perhaps in some other industry.
Yup. I tend to believe their first statements.
Sarah definitely did better conducting herself than she has in previous interviews. She was still rather mechanical in her delivery, but that will get smoother as the campaign progresses. Too often, you could see her ticking off the points in her head as she tried to hit every talking point they told her to hit. You could see some of the Sarah we know, but she was still overcoached.
The only disappointment in the entire debate was the McCain handlers gave her TERRIBLE advice by telling her to concentrate on Biden. She should have been pounding Obama and explaining how McCain is NOT a continuation of Bush. Unfortunately, she did neither. She didn't counter a single comparison Biden made linking McCain to Bush. If anything, she strengthened Obama's stance that McCain is 4 more years of the same.
For some reason the McCain campaign thought VP makes a difference in the election. They forgot that when people walk into the voting booth all they're thinking about is who's running for President. Not taking advantage of a golden opportunity to have Palin go after Obama will turn out to be a huge tactical mistake by the McCain campaign.
Though Palin performed far better than she did in her Couric interviews, I believe Biden won the debate. Even I could spend a couple of weeks of 1216 hour days of immersion in a topic I know nothing about and debate someone in a structured atmosphere! That doesn't qualify me to do something as important as sit second chair to a nation!
As usual for her, she artfully avoided the questions she either did not know the answer to or did not want to answer (probably more likely she didn't know the answer.) She overstressed her "energy management" experience, which, while an important topic, is not the endall, beall to being a VP. Biden did a really good job of staying on topic and answering even tough questions. She is not ready to be VP.
You say tuhmayto, I say tuhmahto. It's all a matter of what you grew up hearing.
Think of the different ways people pronounce "economic" ehcuhnomic. and eecuhnomic. I'm often laughed at for how I pronounce "ruined." Supposedly it's rooined, but I say it all as one word, more like "rueened," and I get laughed at. "Can you say that again? ha ha ha! You say it funny."
I wouldn't put too much weight into how someone pronounces a word. I've heard nuclear pronounced both ways. Even though it might drive you nuts to hear it differently than how YOU pronounce it, everyone is different and they may have just learned to pronounce it that way.
